Hey there! I’m Rachel, founder of The River Flower. I’m based in New York, grew up in Texas, and was born and raised in Puebla, Mexico. I’ve loved flowers (and animals) for as long as I can remember, and creating floral events and arrangements is my way of sharing a bit of that love and happiness with you and your loved ones!
I chose the name River Flower to honor my two surnames, Rios (Rivers) and Rivera (Riverbank). Yes, my name literally translates to Rachel River Riverbank! I also love sharing what I’ve learned and flowers facts, check out my blog and my monthly newsletter.
Flowers have always been a part of my life. Near my hometown, there is a “Pueblo Mágico,” a colorful village called Atlixco that is known for its greenhouses. When I was young, we used to take day trips there, and seeing their flowers always filled me with happiness and wonder. I believe that flowers remind us how beautiful and special life is when we are together.
